Yet another Premier League side is interested in signing Jhon Duran as his future remains uncertain at Aston Villa in January.

It has been made no secret that Aston Villa are looking to bring in some attacking reinforcements in the January window.

This has seen Unai Emery be linked to signing Morgan Rogers in the past week which has come as a surprise.

There had been thoughts that even though Villa have had a great season to this point, winter signings would still be made. This is to help maintain their position in the top four of the Premier League.

There have been more concrete links to young talent like Kosta Nedeljkovic but no signings are yet to be made.

Although this may be the case, there have been plenty of rumours suggesting that one star wants to make a move away.

Jhon Duran looked at by West Ham

There has been some murmuring of discontent regarding Aston Villa and young forward, Jhon Duran regarding his future.

This had seen links to AC Milan earlier in the transfer window before a rumour regarding a move down South to Chelsea.

This had seen Colombian journalist, Pipe Sierra suggest that a move to an elite side in Europe would be beneficial. He said: “Absolutely, yes, I think that Jhon is a perfect player for Milan. He is suited to a club like this. He’s strong, he is fast, he is a real fighter.”

Despite this being the case, this hasn’t stopped both Emery and Duran play down potential transfer links away from B6.

Now a report from Alan Nixon has suggested that West Ham United are a new team that are looking into Duran’s signature.

On that, he said: “Hammers have also made a surprise inquiry for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran. The Colombian wants more game time and may fancy a move.

“However, Villa are unlikely to do business for Duran, who has other admirers including Chelsea, unless there is a big offer rather than a loan deal.”

In a similar sense to the Chelsea move, the Villans would want to have a reinforcement option coming in, in his place.

It must be said that Duran has made a limited number of appearances this season. According to FotMob, he has featured in just 174 Premier League minutes across 14 games.

There is no doubt that a move away for Duran looks possible right now especially given the lack of gametime. Any move will have to be facilitated by an incoming signing to replace the Colombian.
