In a recent report from a Colombian journalist, Jhon Duran has been told to leave Aston Villa in favour of a move to AC Milan this window.

There have been plenty of rumours linking Jhon Duran away from Aston Villa with plenty of clubs showing interest.

This seems to be going against Unai Emery and his plans for improving his squad in the January transfer window.

It must be said that there have been plenty of incoming transfer links, particularly for attacking additions. The most recent rumours have seen Albert Gudmundsson and Gio Reyna being suggested as potential signings.

There have also been frustrating rumours of potential departures with Nicolo Zaniolo being one of those linked to being recalled.

Now a journalist has suggested that Duran should add to that departure list and move away from Villa Park.

Jhon Duran told to leave Aston Villa

It has been a quiet season for Jhon Duran who has failed to play many minutes ahead of the terrific Ollie Watkins.

According to FotMob, the Colombian has featured in just 174 minutes in the Premier League this season so far. During this time he has scored just two goals and has reportedly voiced his frustrations at different times.

The 20-year old did start against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup but he generally failed to make an impact or impression.

Despite that, he has still been linked with a variety of elite clubs both in the Premier League and on the continent. This has seen both Chelsea and AC Milan show an interest in signing him.

He has now been told by Colombian journalist, Pipe Sierra that Duran should consider his options this transfer window.

On that, he said: “He’s had few (offers) in Europe. He is very young and is already at the top. Now, all he has to do is find space. Absolutely, yes, I think that Jhon is a perfect player for Milan. He is suited to a club like this. He’s strong, he is fast, he is a real fighter.

“He is a central striker but not ‘classic’ (centre-forward). He has excellent ball control, he’s quick, he knows how to change pace without difficulty. He’s young, but he is already reaching a good maturity”

It is clear to see that Sierra rates Duran and obviously wants to see his fellow countryman succeed on the biggest stage.

There is no doubt that Villa fans want to see him succeed in B6 but right now his attitude seems to be causing problems.
