Aston Villa are taking a look at Juventus youngster, Samuel Iling-Junior as he looks set to leave Serie A in the January transfer window.

As they have for the past months, Aston Villa have been linked to attacking reinforcements with Samuel Iling-Junior being the latest to be linked.

With Unai Emery at the helm, the Villans have been linked to many forwards with Nico Williams being one name that won’t go away.

In saying that, a new name has been thrown into the hat if new reports are to be believed.

With Moussa Diaby, Leon Bailey and Nicolo Zaniolo there is plenty of competition in the winger and second striker positions.

Despite that being the case, it hasn’t stopped winger and forward options from being liked to B6 ahead of the January window.

Should Aston Villa sign Samuel Iling-Junior?

According to TEAMtalk, Aston Villa are one of four Premier League teams to be interested in the Juventus’ man signature.

The England Under 21 internationals’ contract is set to expire in 2025 and as a result, could be available on a cheaper deal.

He has made just four substitute appearances for the Old Lady so is pushing for a move in search of game time.

At 20-years old he has made 22 appearances for Juve scoring one and assisting three goals in that time.

A more traditional winger, Iling-Junior loves to get on the ball and run at his man in one-on-one situations. Not only is he good on the ball, he offers a physical presence that is rarely seen in wingers.

He is also adept at playing wing-back, due to the tutelage of Max Allegri. This could make him a perfect winger in Emery’s 4-4-2.

Combining a direct attacking force with an additional defensive mindset he would be a very useful signing.

With a cheap deal potential available due to his contract situation, a January or summer transfer window would make sense.
