Aston Villa are said to have made an improved bid in an effort to sign forward, Morgan Rogers from Middlesbrough in January.
This January transfer window continues to be quiet for Aston Villa by the way of incoming signings, despite various rumours.
It is clear that Unai Emery and Co. are interested in bringing in some attacking talent. Now there appears to be a preference for signing younger stars.
There have been heavy links suggesting that Kosta Nedeljkovic is set to become the Villans’ first signing of the winter.
Despite that, no deal has been pushed over the line and attention seems to have turned once again. With rumours surrounding Armando Broja and Emile Smith Rowe coming up in the past few days, attacking reinforcements are on the cards.
Now an offer for a surprise Championship starlet appears to be on the agenda at Bodymoor Heath this month.

Aston Villa back in for Morgan Rogers
It is a name which has rather come out of nowhere in recent days as Villa look to sign Morgan Rogers from Middlesborough.
The former West Bromwich Albion academy star has now been linked with a move back to the West Midlands.
After leaving the Baggies, he joined Manchester City where he would make a loan spell at Blackpool and Bournemouth.
Following a move up North to Boro, the Englishman has found his feet and become an important cog under Michael Carrick.
Now Fabrizio Romano has suggested that the Villans are still showing interest despite having an initial bid rejected.
He said: “Aston Villa have submitted an improved, significant new offer to Middlesbrough for Morgan Rogers. Rogers remains Aston Villa’s and Unai Emery’s priority for January window. Rogers sees this as a huge opportunity and wants Aston Villa move.”
This makes it seem as if it is on the top of Emery’s list for this, or the next, transfer window. With Rogers himself wanting the move, a bid needs to match Boro’s valuation.
So far this season, according to FotMob, he has two goals and six assists across 14 Championship stars. Although this might not be spectacular, his versatility could prove to be very useful.
Rogers is able to feature on either wing or as a striker, while also being comfortable playing as a number 10. Given that there is an honus on signing young talent right now in B6, Rogers could be handy.
It must be said that his lack of top-level experience may be a concern. If Emery has made him his top target, Villa fans can get excited over the potential move.
