Dan Coombs is the Director and Head of Global Sport Content. He has worked in the media since 2007 and has been in professional sports publishing since 2011. Dan has been a driving force behind the growth of United In Focus since 2018, transforming it into a leading destination for Manchester United news, opinion, match day coverage, and academy content. A specialist in Manchester United’s activity on and off the pitch, Dan was cited as a reference in the biography of former United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez, and he has conducted exclusive interviews with a wide range of Premier League legends and non-sporting figures. Combining his professional oversight of GRV Media’s sports division with a lifelong passion for United, Dan provides insights aimed at fans who are invested in chronicling the club's journey back to the pinnacle of world football.

Lee Clarke
Lee Clarke is a professional sports journalist with over 10 years of experience in digital publishing and match-day reporting. A specialist in both football and tennis, Lee’s work has been featured by world-renowned publications including FourFourTwo and World Soccer. Lee’s path into journalism began with a lifelong obsession with the written word. "As soon as I realised I wouldn't be good enough to play football, I wanted to write about it," he recalls. "Reading newspapers was a staple even as a young kid, and I always showed an interest in the match reports." Before pursuing formal training, he gained hands-on experience covering Nottingham Forest and Mansfield Town from the press box, a foundation that solidified his career trajectory. He holds a BA (Hons) in Sport Journalism from Leeds Trinity University (Class of 2009). Since joining GRV Media, Lee has become a lead voice for Nottingham Forest News and The Tennis Gazette, where he provides expert analysis, breaking news, and deep-dive features on the Premier League and the global tennis circuit.
Amir Mir
Amir Mir has worked for various media outlets across the country including the Birmingham Mail and the Independent, and is currently plying his trade across multiple sites for GRV. As a football writer, Amir provides the latest transfer news as well as pre-game and post-game reaction across the Premier League. After graduating from Staffordshire University, where he learned the nuts and bolts of sports journalism, Amir has taken huge strides since covering his first U21 football game between Port Vale and Walsall. Amir is long-term supporter of the Villa.
Jonny Maze
Jonathan Maze is an NCTJ-qualified football journalist for GRV Media, where he has specialized in Manchester United coverage since April 2023. Holding an MA in Sports Journalism from Liverpool John Moores University, Jonathan combines academic rigor with technical expertise, including PFSA certifications in Opposition, Performance, and Data Analysis. His professional portfolio includes contributions to major outlets such as the Manchester Evening News, Vavel, and Snack Media. After falling in love with the game during the 2006 World Cup, Jonathan’s path to the Stretford End was sealed when he watched United defeat Glentoran 3-0 at The Oval in Belfast during their 2007 pre-season tour. Today, he provides expert insight into the INEOS era, with a particular focus on the development of homegrown talents like Kobbie Mainoo.
Sean Fisher
Sean Fisher is an NCTJ-qualified journalist for GRV Media who has accumulated more than seven years of experience covering football. A graduate of UCFB Manchester with a degree in Multimedia Sports Journalism means that Sean studied at the Etihad Stadium, but now spends his time covering updates from Old Trafford, with a particular expertise in club finances, stadium development and governance. Before joining GRV Media, Sean’s professional portfolio as a football journalist includes having work published for outlets such as GiveMeSport, Planet Sport and Football Insider.
