Aston Villa are still being spoken in the same sentence as Emile Smith Rowe and now it has been suggested that he could leave Arsenal in January or the summer.
It continues to be a quiet transfer window for Aston Villa as they are yet to make any signings, at the time of writing.
There has been no secret regarding Unai Emery and his desire to bring in some attacking reinforcements this month.
This has seen recent links to Morgan Rogers as Villa switched transfer tactics to preference signing young talent for cheaper fees.
With that being said, Kosta Nedeljkovic and Hakon Valdimarsson have been strongly linked in the past few days.
Now it appears that the Villans are interested in signing a better-known name as the January window continues to roll on.

Aston Villa Smith Rowe links continue
This is a rumour that has refused to go away in recent weeks and months that links Emile Smith Rowe to Aston Villa. These started many seasons ago and are still bubbling under the surface all these years later.
It has been a tough few years for Smith Rowe as he has struggled with injury and has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal.
So far this season, according to FotMob, he has made just one Premier League start across seven games. Registering one assist in that time.
Despite that being the case, the Villans are still linked to the Englishman. This has seen Ben Jacobs discuss the potential move to Give Me Sport.
On that, he said: “Smith Rowe is still an interesting point of discussion at Arsenal. I’m still told the Villa interest is genuine.
“Whether or not anything moves in January remains to be seen, and I think if Smith Rowe, as an academy graduate, were to leave, then it may divide the Arsenal fan base a little bit.”
Given that he is from the academy, Mikel Arteta may be uncertain of letting him go to maintain their homegrown quota. There is certainly a player in there and the Gunners may still feel they can get more out of him.
Continuing on, Jacobs added: “It wouldn’t surprise me if the right offer comes if Arsenal consider that. Again, that may be one to watch in 2024 rather than in the next few days. But I am told there is something genuine in the Villa interest in Smith Rowe.”
This is a deal which may excite Villa fans but as it stands there doesn’t appear to a concrete interest there. No official bid or anything like that to speak of makes fans uncertain right now.
