Not only are Villa looking to bring in first-team talent this window, but they also want to improve upon their academy.
Since Emery’s arrival, the Spaniard has developed multiple youngsters in order to make the squad more competitive.
Now, the Villa manager is eyeing additions outside of the club. Sunderland’s Mason Cotcher has impressed for their Under 18s and was previously wanted by Arsenal.
After recently training with the Villa Academy, the Birmingham outfit are ready to put in a formal bid for the 17-year-old.

Diego Carlos linked with Fulham transfer
Despite the potential incomings, outgoings are also possible within the next month.
