Aston Villa could be set to lose another star this transfer window with a Premier League side circling.
Villa have shown throughout this summer transfer window that they are not afraid to make big decisions.
The club have already lost Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby as Unai Emery reshapes his squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
However, with still a month of transfer action left, there could be more comings and goings over the next few weeks.
Now, according to reports, Villa could be set to lose another star man as multiple teams chase the defender.

Fulham want Aston Villa centre-back Diego Carlos

Diego Carlos has become a highly important player at Villa. After missing the majority of the 2022/23 season through injury, the defender was like a new signing in the last campaign.
The Brazilian consistently performed for the club as they qualified for Champions League football. Carlos’ impressive display came against Arsenal as he put in a man-of-the-match display at the Emirates and was described as a ‘man-mountain’.
However, it now seems that he may make a permanent switch to the capital. According to journalist Sami Mokbel, Carlos is attracting plenty of interest going into the final month of the window.
Many clubs are looking to sign the centre-back with Fulham specifically mentioned by the chief football reporter at the Daily Mail.
The defender had been linked away from the club earlier in the window. It was reported that Villa were willing to listen to offers for Carlos.
AC Milan were reportedly interested at the time with the Birmingham outfit looking to get his high wages off the books.
Diego Carlos unlikely to depart Aston Villa this window

It seems highly likely that Villa would let Carlos go this transfer window. As it stands, the club only have three fit senior centre-backs – Tyrone Mings is still injured while the club have not replaced the departing Clement Lenglet.
As a result, Villa are extremely low on defenders which was on full show in their pre-season friendly against Red Bull Leipzig.
With the start of the Premier League season just around the corner, it’s hard to believe that Villa would sell one of the starting centre-backs and put themselves at a disadvantage.
