Aston Villa have once again been linked to Albert Gudmundsson and have now been told how much he will cost them in the January window.
It has been made no secret that Aston Villa have been interested in bringing in some attacking signings in January.
The Villans have had a great season with Unai Emery at the helm which sees them sitting in third in the Premier League.
With that being said, there have been some complaints that the Villans have struggled to break down low blocks. This has seen draws against Everton and Sheffield United and a very narrow victory over Burnley.
This has seen links to attacking reinforcements like Paulo Dybala and a potential failed move for Cyril Ngonge.
Now interest has been reignited regarding the potential signing of Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa this winter.

Villa told how much to sign Albert Gudmundsson
A report by Calciomercato this week has suggested that Juventus and West Ham United are also interested in Gudmundsson.
On that, they said: “It’s explained that Max Allegri’s club are willing to prepare an offer for June to sign the forward, but they are warned they will have to fend off the English clubs.
“The two sides named ‘in chronological order’ are West Ham and Aston Villa, who have been after him for ‘some time’.”
With this interest, especially given that they could possibly offer him more minutes, he may prefer to make a move elsewhere.
The Villans have now been told exactly how much they will need to fork out to acquire the services of the Iceland international.
On this, Calciomercato added: “Either way, for a transfer to take place in the summer, the belief is Genoa will hardly let him go for ‘less than €30m’, which shouldn’t be too much of an issue for either Premier League side.”
This is a hefty fee, especially in the January window, but if Villa want a goalscoring forward this is the going rate. This is especially true given the praise he has received from his teammate in recent months.
Kevin Strootman on his teammate
In an interview earlier on in the campaign, Genoa teammate of Gudmundsoson, Kevin Strootman has discussed him.

Talking with Il Secolo XIX in November, the Dutchman couldn’t have spoken more highly of the star forward.
On how good Gudmundsson is, he said: “Gudmundsson is a devastating player. At the moment we are perhaps more dependent on him because, if he is in the game and has the ball at his feet, something always happens.
“He is a phenomenal player, and also a good guy: I hope he continues to improve, he has the qualities and the right mind to still give us a lot.”
Hearing this from his teammate just goes to show how good he must be around the training ground and dressing room. With his goals, he is helping Genoa and is one of their most important players.
Strootman has seen this sort of situation before. On that, he said: “If he continues to grow he won’t stay at Genoa. We must be happy like this, even if every now and then it disappears a little. It happened to me with Salah at Roma. He always had 4-5 chances per game and scored a maximum of one goal.”
It is clear that Gudmundsson is highly rated amongst his teammates and his signing could prove to be beneficial.
