Aston Villa loanee, Nicolo Zaniolo could be set for a move away from the club with Fiorentina and Saudi Arabia interested.

It has been a great campaign for Aston Villa which has seen them fight at the top of the table in the Premier League.

Under the management of Unai Emery, the Villans have been in top form and are pushing for a Champions League place.

There have been some standout performances which have helped fire them up the table. Stars like Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey have been immovable in the squad.

According to FotMob, the pair have registered 28 goal involvements between the two across just 21 games.

With that being said, the starting XI has been maintained where possible and as a result, squad players have struggled to feature.

There has now been a rumour suggesting that one loanee could depart due to a lack of regular game time.

Nicolo Zaniolo could move on

In the summer, following the injury to Emi Buendia, Villa moved quickly to bring in Nicolo Zaniolo on loan from Galatasaray.

There was a lot of excitement following his signing as he is a forward-thinking attacker with plenty of ability. He is well known for his time at Roma and had been performing well in his time in Turkey.

With that being said, there has been a lack of game time available for the Italian since his move over the summer.

This has now sparked a rumour from Labaro Viola that Zaniolo could be eager to make a move away from Villa Park.

On that, they said: “I don’t rule it out, he’s always an obsession. It would be another triangulation, he can’t stay six months at a club going elsewhere. He’s still young, but he’s going towards 25.

“At Aston Villa he’s in and out, I don’t even know how ready he is. When you do the January market you always backtrack on goals you failed to achieve. Maybe then he goes to Arabia next summer. Zaniolo, however, I wouldn’t take him out of the loop 100%”

He has only managed to feature in 14 Premier League games this season, making just seven starts, according to FotMob.

Zaniolo has registered just one goal in the league so far and as a result, there may not be many complaints if he was to leave.

It must be said that if he is to leave this winter, he needs to be replaced. Although he hasn’t featured much, his part of the squad is massively necessary.
