14 Aston Villa players have been called up for international duty for the third break of the season. Here is every Villains star involved and what fixtures they could feature in.
The international break has come at a good time for Villa. The Claret and Blue side are on the back of four consecutive defeats in all competitions.
On top of this Ross Barkley and Matty Cash had both picked up knocks at Villa throughout the past few weeks. Then, in the defeat against Liverpool, both Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara picked up further knocks.
Therefore, the international break may be the ideal time for Unai Emery to recuperate this side before the busy festive season.
However, many of Villa’s stars will still be busy for the next two weeks. Both the Nations League and the World Cup Qualifying are back underway in a crucial few games for some nations.
Below, Aston Villa News has highlighted which Villa stars are on international duty and which fixtures they could feature in.
Morgan Rogers – England

Morgan Rogers is now set to reap the rewards of his good form this season after he was called up to the England senior squad for the first time.
Many Villa fans often cited their frustrations at Rogers playing for the Under 21s, however, the experience of playing for the Three Lions will no doubt be excellent for the youngster.
The attacker will now be aiming to help England return to the top group of the Nations League going into the final set of fixtures.
- Greece (Thursday, November 14)
- Ireland (Sunday, November 17)
Emi Martinez – Argentina

Argentina’s hero will return to his country once again this month as he aims to take them a step closer to qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
The country sits top of the qualifying group after 10 games after they have won seven of their fixtures.
With the nation now three points clear of second, they will be looking to extend this lead before they go into the new year.
- Paraguay (Thursday, November 14)
- Peru (Wednesday, November 20)
Jhon Duran – Colombia

Jhon Duran has taken all the headlines at Villa so far this season. The striker has proved to be one of the best super subs in the world, as he consistently comes off the bench to bag a goal.
Now, the 20-year-old will be tasked with taking his form to Colombia as they face two key games in their World Cup Qualifying campaign.
- Uruguay (Saturday, November 16)
- Ecuador (Tuesday, November 19)
Joe Gauci – Australia

Villa’s back-up ‘keeper will once again be away with Australia this international break as they continue with their World Cup Qualifying campaign.
The Aussies have had an okay start in their group for the third round, sitting second with five points from four games.
- Saudia Arabia (Thursday, November 14)
- Bahrain (Tuesday, November 19)
Jaden Philogene – England Under 21s

The young winger has not had a perfect start since returning to Villa in the summer. Struggling for form, Jaden Philogene’s cameo against Liverpool was far from ideal before the international break.
However, now the youngster has a chance to regain some stability in his game as he is set to take part in two friendlies with the England Under 21s.
- Spain Under 21s (Friday, November 15)
- Netherlands Under 21s (Monday, November 18)
John McGinn – Scotland

The Villa captain has unsurprisingly returned to his native Scotland for their upcoming fixtures in the Nations League.
The Tartan Army currently sit bottom of their Nations League group meaning their next matches are vital if they want to avoid relegation.
- Croatia (Friday, November 15)
- Poland (Monday, November 18)
Ollie Watkins – England

Ollie Watkins has once again made his way into the Three Lions squad as Lee Carsley takes charge of his final game before Thomas Tuchel comes in.
With many Villa players out of form going into the break, the striker will be looking to get back amongst the goals as England face two important games.
- Greece (Thursday, November 14)
- Ireland (Sunday, November 17)
Amadou Onana – Belgium

Belgium are also set to compete in the Nations League with Amadou Onana earning another call-up.
The Lowland Nation are third in their group after a poor start has seen them only pick up four points from four games. However, with Italy and Israel up next, Onana and co will see it as a big opportunity to add more points to the board.
- Italy (Thursday, November 14)
- Israel (Sunday, November 17)
Kosta Nedeljković – Serbia

The young upcoming defender will have another big opportunity to impress for his country in the Nations League.
Kosta Nedeljković has four caps to date and will be aiming to add to his over the next two weeks.
- Switzerland (Friday, November 15)
- Denmark (Monday, November 18)
Pau Torres – Spain

The Spaniard has also been called up for his country this month. The defender has been one of Villa’s better players recently and Pau Torres was unlucky not to win a penalty against Liverpool.
Now, Torres will be looking to send Spain into the Nations League semi-finals as they sit top of their group going into the final round of fixtures.
- Denmark (Friday, November 15)
- Switzerland (Monday, November 18)
Enzo Barrenechea – Argentina

Going back to South America, Enzo Barrenechea could earn his first Argentina cap after being called up this month.
The midfielder was brought into Villa Park this summer but was quickly sent out on loan to Valencia. Now, he has a chance to play for the World Cup holders over the next two weeks.
- Paraguay (Thursday, November 14)
- Peru (Wednesday, November 20)
Lucas Digne – France

Lucas Digne is no stranger to the French squad and has once again made the cut.
France are aiming to progress into the semi-finals of the Nations League and face two key games if they are to achieve this feat. The nation is currently second in its group just one point behind Italy.
- Israel (Thursday, November 14)
- Italy (Sunday, November 17)
Ezri Konsa – England

Back in the Three Lions squad, Ezri Konsa is the final senior player to receive a call-up for England. Konsa has been on a poor run of form for Villa and was criticised for his display in the Liverpool defeat.
However, like many, these games now present a chance to return to form away from the club with England.
- Greece (Thursday, November 14)
- Ireland (Sunday, November 17)
Samuel Iling-Jr – England Under 21s

The final player on this list is Samuel Iling-Jr. The winger has spent this season on loan to Serie A side Bologna after signing in the summer.
Now, he has been called up to the Under 21s alongside Philogene for the upcoming friendly matches.
- Spain Under 21s (Friday, November 15)
- Netherlands Under 21s (Monday, November 18)
