Aston Villa continue to be linked with signing Middlesbrough star, Morgan Rogers. They are also linked with Hakon Valdimarsson as they look to make a double move this January.
It has been a quiet transfer window for Aston Villa but it looks as if the cogs are beginning to turn in the right direction
There has been a clear change in process as Unai Emery appears to be focusing on signing young talent this month.
This has been in a way to help supplement the side which has been overly successful so far this campaign. As a result, they occupy fourth place in the Premier League and in a hunt for Champions League.
Links to more senior names such as Emile Smith Rowe have still spring up but no concrete transfer rumours have come up.
With that being said, now the Villans have been linked with a double swoop for two younger stars in the winter window.

Rogers and Valdimarsson linked to Villa again
The past week has sprung up plenty of links to young talent which has gotten Villa fans excited as a general rule.
The first of the links came as Morgan Rogers had bids rejected by Middlesbrough from the Villans in the past week.
This week has now seen the Daily Mail suggest that another bid has been made as Villa look to sign the Englishman.
On that, they said: “Aston Villa have made an improved bid for Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers after their opening two proposals were rejected by the Championship club. Manchester City are due a sell-on fee if the 21-year-old, who cost Boro £1million in the summer, leaves.
“Middlesbrough rejected Villa’s first two proposals, but Unai Emery is a huge fan, and Rogers was impressive whilst playing against them in the FA Cup at the start of the month.”
A bid in the region of £15m is said to be enough to test the resolve of Boro in the January transfer window.
The versatile forward has eight goal involvements after making 14 starts for Michael Carrick, according to FotMob. Now he looks as if a move back to the Midlands may be on the cards.
The Daily Mail added: “Villa have also made an approach for Iceland goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson from Swedish top-flight side Elfsborg.”
The 22-year old looks set to replace the outgoing loanee, Filip Marschall who has joined MK Dons in the past week.
It looks as if the pair could make great signings and help improve the Villans’ squad for the second half of the campaign.
