Unai Emery outlines Aston Villa’s transfer plans
Villa have been highly active in the transfer market. The club has already brought in multiple high-profile signings while overseeing the departures of Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby.
With less than a month before the window slams shut, many of the Villa Park faithful were hopeful that more faces would be added to the squad for their upcoming campaign.
Now, these supporters have been given their answer after the Villa manager stated his transfer strategy for the final weeks.
“I want to be competitive; every day, every transfer window and of the season,” Emery told talkSPORT.
“And now we are trying to be competitive as well, trying to add players in our squad and improve it. There are still days to do something. At the beginning, we need some players to leave from us in the next few weeks because we have a squad of 25 players.”

One player who is likely to be confirmed as a Villa player in the coming days is Yeimar Mosquera.
The Colombian centre-back has impressed in his home country, featuring regularly for Orsomarso SC despite being just 19 years old.
As a result, according to journalist Pipe Sierra, Villa are now set to sign the youngster. Mosquera will fly to Birmingham to complete a medical and will sign a four-year deal.

Aston Villa submit bid for Giovanni Lo Celso

Following Mosquera, Villa are also keen to add to their attacking department.
Throughout recent weeks, Emery has been heavily linked to Joao Felix. However, despite the reported interest, nothing has progressed yet.
As a result, the Birmingham outfit may have found a new target. Spurs midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso has struggled in the capital since his move.
The attacking midfielder once played under Emery at Villarreal and now the manager may be looking to reunite with the Argentine.
According to Gastun Edul, Villa have submitted an offer to buy the attacking midfielder to reinforce their squad.
