Aston Villa are considering a move for a player valued at £40 million whose club will allow him to leave this summer.
Unai Emery is overseeing an incredibly busy summer at Aston Villa, with the club now really pushing to improve the squad ahead of a Champions League campaign.
Those plans were put on hold earlier in the summer, as Villa had to make sales in order to comply with Premier League spending rules ahead of the 30th June PSR deadline.
The sales of Tim Iroegbunam, Omari Kellyman and Douglas Luiz appear to have seen the Villa Park club avoid a breach and now incomings are at the forefront of the Emery’s plans.
With the likes of Ian Maatsen, Samuel Iling-Junior and Jaden Philogene just some of those who have already signed, Emery is now weighing up a move for another talented youngster.

Aston Villa considering move for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville
Emery will have returned for pre-season last week fully aware of the areas of his squad he wants to strengthen this summer.
The potential left-back issue has been resolved with Maatsen’s signing, whilst the arrivals of Ross Barkley, Enzo Barrenechea and soon Amadou Onana see Luiz more than adequately replaced.
The wide areas have also clearly been earmarked as requiring greater depth with the signings of young trio Lewis Dobbin, Iling-Junior and Philogene.
However, reports suggest Emery is keen to add one more wide player in the shape of Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville.
That is according to The Mirror, who have published on page 74 of their Sunday 14th July edition that Villa are ‘eyeing the Dutchman’ alongside Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.
The report claims ‘the £40 million-rated Leeds winger is weighing up his future’ following failure to earn promotion last season and ‘will be allowed to leave Elland Road’.
Summerville fresh off impressive season at Leeds

After a Championship campaign in which Summerville scored 20 and assisted a further nine goals in the league, it is not difficult to see why his future is unlikely to be in the second tier.
The EFL Championship Player of the Season was a cut above for Leeds last season, terrifying defenders from his left wing position.
£40 million is a very high fee for a Championship player and Villa would likely try and lower that asking price, but following the £30 million sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur Leeds can afford to be stubborn with Summerville.
Speaking on the 22-year-old in February, Leeds manager Daniel Farke could not hide how highly he rated Summerville, saying: “He is playing an outstanding season in terms of performances, end product and also his willingness to work for the team, to be there and deliver on a daily basis even in training, otherwise you can’t deliver consistency in this league.
“You have to be on it each and every day on the training pitch but also with good habits in nutrition, sleep and recovery.
“We don’t have to speak about the potential of Cree, the sky is the limit with his potential but to show consistency this is crucial. It’s no coincidence he has delivered many end products.”
Whilst Villa are now well-covered in the wide areas, a deal for Summerville could prove too good an opporuntiy to miss out on this summer in the eyes of Emery.
