Premier League stars send messages to Samuel Iling-Junior after Aston Villa transfer

As Villa announced the signing of the 20-year-old forward, the London-born youngster took to Instagram to send a parting message to Juventus.

After joining Juve in 2020 from Chelsea’s academy, Iling-Junior rose through the ranks to gain 27 senior appearances over the 2023/24 campaign.

On social media, the winger captioned his message with ‘Juve, forever in my heart’, penning a farewell to supporters that read:

“Juve a story of great love. Thank you to the staff and the fans for everything. What a journey it has been from Primavera to the Prima Squadra, the dream of a young boy from England.

“I made not only friends but brothers and family. Wishing you all the best for the season and the future.”

The post represented Iling-Junior’s first words since making the move from Turin to B6, with several well-known stars commenting.

Alongside many of his Juventus teammates was Liverpool ace Jarell Quansah, who commented a red heart emoji, with former Villan Tim Iroegbunam leaving the same comment to acknowledge the post.

Being a representative of England’s U21 side, the new Villa arrival has played alongside many upcoming stars in the Premier League, with a homecoming now on the cards.

Iling-Junior arrival is great for Villa

In the Englishman, Villa have acquired a talent with knowledge of what it takes to play in the country, having played the early days of his career at Cobham.

Now, the 20-year-old will embark on a new journey in the Midlands, this time under the watchful eye of Emery, who has experience in uncovering rising talent.

One of the Spaniard’s greatest nurturing stories is the rise of Bukayo Saka at Arsenal, whom Emery handed his debut in North London, telling of the opportunity the Villa boss can provide.

In Iling-Junior, the Villans not only have a stellar English talent but a player who now has experience playing abroad among some of the best in Europe.

It’s a fascinating transfer with the capacity to become a significant success story for Villa, as Emery has the chance to unearth another exciting young star.
