Aston Villa have officially confirmed the signing of Samuel Iling-Junior after weeks of speculation.
Aston Villa confirmed that Douglas Luiz had signed for Juventus on Sunday but have now announced the arrival of both Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea who arrive in what is effectively a swap deal.
It has been a busy off-season, with Villa having to act swiftly to secure the sales of Tim Iroegbunam to Everton and Omari Kellyman to Chelsea, as well as manufacture Luiz’ exit, to avoid a PSR breach.
With the concerns regarding Premier League spending rules, it has been difficult for Villa fans to look forward to next season despite Champions League qualification.
However, now that the the 30th June PSR deadline has passed attention can turn to the future and Iling-Junior has been speaking on what Villa fans can expect when the 20-year-old wears the famous claret and blue.

Samuel Iling-Junior wants to get Aston Villa fans ‘excited’
In both Iling-Junior and Barrenechea, Villa have signed two young players full of promise.

A tricky winger with a cultured left-foot, Iling-Junior has now spoken to Villa’s official club website, where he outlined what fans can expect from him.
The youngster explained: “I’m someone who wants to play for the badge and for the team. I always want to put on a show for the team, dribbling and getting them excited.
“I want to improve as a player and break into the team as quickly as possible.
“The manager’s developed a lot of players, so I want to work closely with him and push on.”
Iling-Junior’s journey to Aston Villa

Iling-Junior has had an unconventional route to what will be his first taste of senior English football next season.
The winger was part of the Chelsea youth academy prior to leaving for Italian giants Juventus as a 16-year-old in 2020.
A massive move for a player so young, Iling-Junior saw this is an opportunity to gain invaluable experience of another culture whilst enhancing his chances of first team football.
It proved an inspired decision, with 45 Juve appearances under his belt by the age of 20 for a manager in Massimiliano Allegri who tends to trust experience over youth.
Now, four years after leaving Chelsea, Iling-Junior returns to England ready to prove he is ready to light up the Premier League.
