Aston Villa have been having a great season however as the club continues to develop there will always be player moved on to help the team improve.
Aston Villa are currently fifth in the league just three points behind first-placed Manchester City which shows just how excellent a job Unai Emery has done.
Outside of the Premier League, Villa are leading the Europa Conference League group and look primed to qualify for the knockout stages.
But despite boasting an excellent group of players, the general consensus is that moves will be made in January with various players expected to be on the transfer list.
Here are three players Villa should look to sell in January…

Bertrand Traore
Bertrand Traore is possibly the player most likely to be sold in January because if he isn’t, he will be let go for free in January.
He has only featured in three Conference League games with an average of four minutes per game while he’s made two Premier League appearances at five minutes per game according to SofaScore.
Those awful contributions for a player who earns £78k-a-week, which we think makes a sale in January make sense. Even if it is a nominal fee, the wages alone could be utilised better elsewhere.
Leander Dendoncker
Leander Dendocker is another who just doesn’t seem to be wanted at Villa anymore. Reports in the summer suggested he could’ve been on his way out before he ultimately stayed.
Like Traore, Dendoncker’s contract expires at the end of this season so selling to get some kind of fee could be wise. This again would also get his £90k-a-week wage off the books and instead, a player Emery wants could be signed.
He has made four Premier League appearances this season, averaging six minutes per game. In the EFL he played one half of football and then has averaged 27 minutes per game in the Conference League through two appearances.
Calum Chambers
Calum Chambers has barely featured this season for Villa, only starting five games and averaging 26 minutes per game in the Premier League which could suggest he is out of favour.
Chambers has been criticised by various pundits and going forward he isn’t the quality Villa will be looking to have in the team. A sale could allow Villa to make a move to sign a right-back who could effectively back up Matty Cash.
Chambers is unlikely to fetch Billa more than £5m in a transfer fee, however getting his £50k-a-week wages off the books could be invaluable.
