Along with this Aaron Ramsey has been sold to Burnley for £12m, after again, another impressive season in the Championship on-loan.

These two outgoings along will go a long way in off-setting the spend this summer which has seen the likes of Moussa Diaby arrive at the club.

Hull targeting Villa double move

It has been reported by Birmingham Live that Hull manager Rosenior is confident of securing deals to sign two Villa stars.

Both Jaden Philogene and Keinan Davis were on the tip of Rosenior’s tongue as he confirmed talks were underway.

He added that the deals were “bubbling away” and he hoped to receive some positive news “really soon”.

The deals are both expected to be permanent, with hopes that Philogene in particular can be signed before the clash against Bristol this weekend.

Philogene impressed for Villa during pre-season after spending last season at Cardiff City on-loan were he was also good.

Davis meanwhile spent last season with Watford on-loan, and has been linked with a Premier League move to Luton this summer.

A deal for Davis is said to be agreed already, with the players decision been waited on now, as he has ‘options’.

There is belief that the Tigers can get a deal done thought, in what would be seen as a positive move from a Villa point of view.
