However, former Villian Stephen Warnock has highlighted Douglas Luiz’s performances in recent weeks.
The former defender commented that the Brazilian offers a ‘calmness’ when he plays and has gone above and beyond expectations this season.

Injury update
Villa Park has witnessed some terrible injuries recently. Boubacar Kamara was forced off against Man United last month meaning he is now one of three players out for the season.
However, recently there has been some more positive news on the injury front.
Ezri Konsa has been pictured back in training. The centre-back has been crucial to Emery’s side so far this season with his return no doubt a huge boost.

Paul Merson’s prediction
Villa’s next game is on Saturday away to Luton. It is a chance for the club to make it three Premier League wins on the bounce after their victories against Fulham and Nottingham Forest.
However, it will no doubt be a tricky game on Saturday evening as they face a Luton side fighting for their lives near the bottom of the table.
Merson has backed Villa in the tie believing that the visitors will have too much quality against the Hatters.
