Europa Conference League draw
Aston Villa return to the Europa Conference League soon. The club finished top of their group which automatically qualified them for the round of 16, bypassing the play-off knockout round.
Those fixtures have now finished and Villa will now return as they aim to win the competition. However, the draw has been less than kind to the club as they now face European heavyweights Ajax in the next round. Villa legend, Gabby Agbonlahor was one of the first to react to the news.

Pau Torres claim
Pau Torres has been one of many players who have been vital to Villa’s success this season. After Unai Emery’s side went through a difficult period, Torres came back into the side to oversee a highly important victory over Fulham last weekend.
This win took Villa back into the Champions League places as they leapfrogged Spurs by taking three points in the capital.
Now, Premier League legend Alan Shearer has come out to praise the defender for helping to make the difference on Saturday. The former striker claimed Villa are far better with him in the team.

Team news vs Nottingham Forest
Emery will be looking to take Villa’s away momentum into their home fixture against Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The Birmingham side is on a poor run of form at Villa Park, far and away from what it was earlier this season.
Fans may have looked for a boost in the team news going into the tie. Villa is in an injury crisis at the moment with multiple players out.
While Emery confirmed that Konsa would not be fit for the match against Forest, he did manage to give an update on his situation.
