Former Aston Villa star, Gabby Agbonlahor has been discussing his combined XI ahead of the trip to face Tottenham Hotspur.
It has been a great start to the season for Aston Villa and they will look to continue that against Spurs this weekend.
With that being said, the Villans’ away form has been patchy this season and Unai Emery will want to right that issue.

This game represents an opportunity for Villa to move into the top four as they look to disrupt the traditional ‘big six’. In saying that, Ange Postecoglu’s side will be looking to return to winning ways following back-to-back defeats.
Gabby Agbonlahor and Alan Brazil have already made their predictions and now the former has created a combined XI.
What has Gabby Agbonlahor said?
It is safe to say that Tottenham have been ravaged with injuries and suspensions recently. With James Maddison, Richarlison and Micky Van de Ven out for months, Christian Romero and Eves Bissouma are also out via suspension. This leaves the Spurs squad looking light.
In saying that, Villa haven’t been without their own problems with Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia out for the season. They have been joined by long-term problems for Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno. There was a worry for John McGinn but hopefully, he will be fit for the game.
With the injuries, Agbonlahor made his combined XI for TalkSport with ease. Starting with the defense he said: “Martinez in goal. Matty Cash right-back, Konsa and Torres are my centre-halves, Udogie for Spurs as my left-back.”
The back four takes a heavy portion from the Villans’ side. Ironically, Lucas Digne has had a great season and is unfortunate to miss out some might say.
The rest of the team appeared to pick itself for the former Villa forward. On that, Agbonlahor added: “Luiz, McGinn and Kamara as my three midfielders. Son on the left, Diaby on the right and Watkins up front.”
It is hard to argue with this selection as the Villa midfield has been the crowning glory under Emery this campaign. It is true that Son has been back to his best this season and is worthy of an inclusion. With Ollie Watkins and Moussa Diaby combining so well so far, they deserve a place each too.
Finishing, Agbonlahor said: “So only two Spurs players make my Villa-Spurs XI out of players that are available this Sunday. I think everyone would agree with that XI there.”
It is a heavily Villa-based team, but on current form, it is hard to argue that Gabby is wrong.
