There has been an injury update about Aston Villa captain, John McGinn after he was substituted off for Scotland against Norway this week.
This season has been superb for Aston Villa and John McGinn has been one of the headline stars as they sit fifth in the Premier League.
Under the tutelage of Unai Emery, the skipper has only gotten better. This is as he has rediscovered the top form of years gone by.
He has been utilised in a wide midfield position which allows him to get forward on a more regular basis.
As a result of this, he already has three goals and two assists across 12 Premier League matches. This is one more than he accrued in the whole of the last campaign.
His goal against Fulham just showed everything that he is about and saw plenty of praise come his way. This continued on international duty as he registered a goal and an assist against Norway in a 3-3 draw.
What has been said about John McGinn?
With a side missing Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland, the Norwegians travelled to Hamden Park. This is in spite of both side’s group fates already being secured.
This didn’t stop McGinn from putting in a Man of the Match performance as he levelled the scoring from the penalty spot. He then assisted Stuart Armstrong as the Tartan Army went ahead for the first time on the night.
Despite his superb performance, the Villa man was substituted on 79 minutes as he hobbled off the pitch at Hamden.

This had left plenty of Villans worried on social media, questioning whether he would be fit for the away trip to Tottenham.
According to London World, ‘He is expected to play a part when they travel to Tottenham this week even though it remains to be determined how fit he will be.’
What has he said?
It must be said that the Villa skipper was still able to fulfil media duties after the game in spite of a grimise as he came off.
Speaking with the BBC post-match, McGinn said: “The campaign’s been amazing.
“I’m just so proud of the way the boys have handled it. We have a team and a group of players that the country are so proud of and I think that showed at the end.”
To see their captain doing so well on the international stage will please Villa fans as it is always good to see.
The Scot has always been a star for his country and many Villans wanted to see that replicated in B6. This season Super John has found that perfect blend and hit top form.
