Aston Villa have been handed a massive blow, as it’s been confirmed that Matty Cash is injured.
Matty Cash has been ever-present for Aston Villa this season throughout a really impressive season.
Villa has really kicked on this season and finds themselves just three points off the top and the most in-form team in the league over the last eight games.
Making the right back his own, nobody has been able to displace him as he finds himself key to Unai Emery’s style.
Emery has been key in turning Cash into a bonafide top-level full-back. But now there has been a huge injury blow for Cash.

Cash now injured
On Sunday it was announced that Cash would be withdrawing from the Poland squad ahead of the latest round of internationals.
No reason was disclosed at the time, however, journalist Tomasz Wlodarczyk has now reported on the issue with Cash.
He posted on X revealing: “Matty Cash played the entire match against Fulham, but has had shoulder problems since last Sunday. After today’s Premier League match, the pain was so great that he will have to rest for a few days”
Clearly, both Poland and Villa thought it best Cash is given the chance to recover, and he will have just that.
Two weeks to be precise, until Villa face Spurs on November 26th, a game which has huge Champions League implications in the top-four race.
Villa winning could see them go to joint top, depending on results elsewhere but that alone is a monumental achievement for a club like Villa who have risen so rapidly.
