Aston Villa are set to become one of seven teams to be part of Adidas’ Elite club next season which will bring big benefits.
Villa became the latest club to partner with Adidas this season after the two signed a historic partnership.
The Birmingham outfit previously had problems with their former kit manufacturer Castro last year as Villa’s shirts had a wet look when raining.
As a result, when the new home shirt was announced many Villa fans were delighted by the design.
Now, Villa are looking to take their partnership one step further as they look to become an Adidas Elite club next season.
Aston Villa set to become an Adidas Elite team next season

Adidas is known as arguably the biggest kit manufacturer in football. Therefore, when Villa secured the partnership with the company, it was seen as a big coup, especially given their Champions League adventures this campaign.
Yet, this relationship now looks to be getting stronger by the day.
According to Birmingham Live, Villa are expected to join current members Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal as part of this exclusive club.
If all goes through fans will see the addition of the Trefoil logo to Villa’s third kit next season.
Other benefits include a closer general working relationship with Adidas, preferential advertising treatment on a global scale, more customised products and better access to Villa merchandise on every continent.
Aston Villa’s reputation is growing on the world stage

It is hard to believe that less than a decade ago Villa were struggling in the Championship as they continued to tumble.
Yet, now the club is easily one of the best sides in the world. Unai Emery has helped transform his team into elite players and that has been on show throughout this campaign.
With qualification into the knockout stages of the Champions League looking likely, Villa’s world reputation is only going to grow.
Now, Villa’s performances on the field are now reaping their benefits. Becoming part of Adidas’ Elite team proves that the Birmingham outfit are here to stay amongst the world’s best.
On top of this, the financial benefits of this deal should help the club with PSR and FFP, ensuring they are able to stay more competitive in the transfer market.
