Aston Villa fans have finally seen the home kit that their players will be wearing for the 2024/25 season.

Unai Emery will be taking his Aston Villa players into the Champions League and they need their new kits to look the part on the big stage.

Villa signed a new kit deal with Adidas in May following the decision to cut short a deal with Castore in a move that will be worth £17 million per season.

However, due to the deal being secured so late in the 2023/24 season, time has been against Villa and Adidas to have the brand new kits ready for release this summer.

The Villans faithful have been patiently waiting, with the club having to wear a special kit for their first two pre-season friendlies.

Now, though, the club have unveiled the home shirt for the 2024/25 season and fans are very happy with their new attire.

After President of Business Operations Chris Heck confirmed last month that the aim was for the new shirt to be released shortly after Euro 2024, Villa have now delivered.

The club posted a video unveiling the new home shirt on ‘X’ alongside the caption: ‘Setting new standards. Every season.

Villa fans responded in their droves, with the response overwhelmingly positive to the new kit.

One fan responded “A thing of beauty”, with another echoing this sentiment as they commented “love it!!”.

Another supporter said: “Finally we have a kit worth getting. The whole movement at Villa Park is superb at the moment.”

One fan simply said “unreal” and another has already bought the brand new shirt, as they responded: “Purchased. Nice one!”

Not only do Villa have a new kit manufacturer in Adidas this season, they also have a new sponsor and crest.

The club’s front of shirt sponsor is gambling company Betano in a deal which is reported to be worth £40 million across two years.

However, most intriguingly is the new badge.

Villa began a consultation period in 2022 in which they looked to rebrand the club in a move intended to improve the Villa brand globally.

This saw a new circle badge introduced, but after much aversion from the fanbase and the change not having the desired affect commercially, Villa will return to an emblem similar to the previous shield crest with the words ‘Aston Villa’ rather than ‘A.V.F.C’.
