Aston Villa fans around the globe have hailed the Birmingham outfit after the club confirmed the completion of a multi-million-pound deal.
2024 just keeps getting better for fans at Villa Park. After an amazing 2023/24 campaign which saw the Claret and Blue side rewarded with Champions League football, supporters have once again received another treat.
On Monday, Villa announced that starting next season, adidas will be manufacturing the club’s kit in a multi-year partnership.
The news will be a relief to some. While adidas is one of the most iconic brands in the world, Castro’s kit design for Villa was highly controversial throughout the campaign.
The Villa shirt had a ‘wet look’ which was criticised by both the men’s and the women’s sides.
Villa’s new deal with adidas had been anticipated for months and its confirmation came to the delight of the Villa Park faithful.
Aston Villa fans hail £17 million-a-year adidas deal

Few details are yet to be released about the new deal. In their announcement, the club simply said it was a ‘multi-year partnership’, with details of the new kit to be announced via Aston Villa’s and adidas’ channels.
However, according to Footy Insider, they believed that the deal is worth £17 million a year while the club is competing in Europe. This will give the Villa an extra £4 million a campaign compared to their previous deal.
This makes the partnership the seventh most luxurious partnership in the Premier League, with it only behind the ‘big six’ and Newcastle.
As a result, many Villa fans were ecstatic about the new deal and took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their delight.
On the other hand, plenty of fans are just happy to see the back of Castro after their kit controversy throughout the campaign.

Another sensational deal for Aston Villa

The news of the new partnership will be a relief to many Villa fans. After much speculation throughout 2024, they have now secured one of the best deals in the Premier League.
With adidas supplying match kits and training wear to all men’s, women’s and junior teams, it will only help to grow Villa’s brand.
Going into the Champions League next season, the Birmingham outfit has a massive chance of expanding their global reach.
By ditching Castro and their poor kit design for the world-famous adidas, it will only help the club in the long run.
That, on top of the immediate financial benefits of the deal, proves once again the club are heading in the right direction.
