Over the course of the summer, Villa have brought in five new faces to Villa Park. More are also expected to arrive soon with Emery’s side having a strong interest in Jacob Philogene and Amadou Onana

On Wednesday, supporters will have a chance to potentially see four new faces in action. Ross Barkley, Enzo Barrenechea, Samuel Iling-Junior and Lewis Dobbin could all play a role in the match. However, Ian Maatsen will not play due to his recovery from Euro 2024.

Also set to play a part is Emi Buendia. The Argentine missed all of the 2023/24 campaign through injury. The attacker has been seen playing on grass in pre-season and could start. However, the match is seen as too early for Tyrone Mings and Jacob Ramsey.

Loanees from the last campaign are also included in the squad. Both Kosta Nedeljkovic and Lino Sousa who were at Red Star Belgrade and Plymouth Argyle respectively have also been included in the squad and could also make their Villa debuts.
