Aston Villa face their second away game of the season this Sunday as they head to Turf Moor to face Burnley. So, here is everything you need to know, including how to follow the game.

Aston Villa will be hoping to continue their impressive week of form as they take on Vincent Kompany’s Burnley side who didn’t play last weekend.

Villa meanwhile beat Everton 4-0 last weekend to restore and rectify their hiccup against Newcastle which saw them lose 5-1.

To add to this, Villa continued their rampant goalscoring mid-week as they beat Scottish side Hibernian 5-0 in the Europa Conference League play-off.

This means Villa are 9-0 in the last week, and they will be keen for this to continue on Sunday at 2pm UK time.

Unai Emery will be extremely keen to see his side pick up another three points to re-establish themselves as European candidates, in a game which is unavailable to fans in the UK on TV.

Fans will be eager to potentially see new signing Nicolo Zaniolo in action too following his arrival at Villa Park.

Aston Villa team and injury news

Emery’s side come into the fixture with several first-team stars on the shelf through a variety of injuries. The injuries have come thick and thin for Villa however despite this the team still looks strong.

Emi Buendia is definitely out for this game as he got injured in pre-season prompting the move for Zaniolo over the past few weeks. The Argentine’s return date is not known as of yet.

Along with him, Tyrone Mings remains out after his painful injury in the opening weeks of the season. Jacob Ramsey is another important player who remains out which will be disappointing given his impressive end to last season.

Ramsey picked up an injury during the Under-21 European Championships in July, and remains not close to a return much to Emery’s disappointment as he was in line to become a star player this season.

Joining these three will be Leander Dendoncker, Tim Iroegbunam and Alex Moreno as definite absentees with no return date known.

One player who is a doubt but could feature is Brazilian Philippe Coutinho as he has a chance of returning to action here, despite being out-of-favour and linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Prediction: Burnley (1) vs (3) Aston Villa

Burnley were unfortunate to open their Premier League account having to face Manchester City, despite playing well and having chances. They will face similar issues here coming up against an in-form Aston Villa side who are hungry for points and goals.

Ultimately this game for Villa will look like an easy win on paper however we do expect Burnley to give the Villains some heart in mouth moments and they should have enough to score. Zeki Amdouni in particular is a danger man to look out for.

Villa will however just have too much firepower for Kompany’s defence here, and we expect them to score at least three to continue their high scoring form which has shot them back into a positive place this season.

Ollie Watkins will enjoy playing against the defence of the Clarets and we expect Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby to also thrive in this game, with Emi Martinez also likely to be important here.
