Aston Villa are rumoured to be after former loanee, Tammy Abraham as he may leave Roma this summer.
The striker spent a season with Aston Villa as they achieved promotion back to the Premier League in 2019.
There were reports that a deal was all but done for Abraham to sign for Unai Emery’s side but an injury curtailed the move.
With that being said, it is clear that there is legitimate interest there from the Villains. The summer could pose another opportunity to make the signing.
Why Aston Villa need to sign Tammy Abraham
There is no secret that a striker is needed on the books at B6 and Abraham could be one of the best options.
Although Ollie Watkins has been top class and Jhon Duran is promising, a more senior striker option is needed.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, it is said that if Jose Mourinho leaves the Italian capital this summer, Abraham may follow.

The Englishman provides a different option to the current Villa number 11 but could still fulfil a similar role.
He would allow the Villains to play a different way if needed. The former Chelsea man’s big frame makes him a handful for defenders.
It is hard to say whether or not he would want to play second fiddle to Watkins, something which has caused issues before.
When Danny Ings joined Villa, he was one of the best strikers in the Premier League. He never hit the heights and was sold in favour of backing Watkins.
It worked out in the end but the club won’t want a re-run of those events.
Rumours suggest that the Giallorossi would be willing to part company with their striker for £45 million in the summer.
Given his previous spell with the club, this move has more than nostalgia behind it.
Bring him in and he makes Aston Villa even better than they already are.
