What are Oumar Solet’s major feats?
Since moving to Red Bull Salzburg, Solet has won three league titles and two Austrian Cups.
In the 2022/23 campaign, Solet won the Austrian Bundesliga while only losing one league game. However, in the 2023/24 season, Red Bull Salzburg were surprisingly beaten to the title by Sturm Graz.
Solet has also been a regular in the Champions League and helped the side reach the knockout stages in the 2021/22 campaign.

Aston Villa are reported to be interested in Solet. There is strong competition for the defender’s signature. West Ham are believed to be pushing hard to acquire the defender but Stuttgart and Villa are also in the race.

Solet’s contract is set to expire in 2025 which will reduce any possible transfer fee. The defender could be available for as little as £10 million but Villa may face additional competition from Man United, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund who were linked to Solet in June.
