Aston Villa have a problem to solve with Jhon Duran this summer as the Colombian has been blasted for his recent off-pitch actions.
The summer transfer window has been hectic at Aston Villa, with further movement expected despite a rapid start.
Unai Emery and Monchi have already parted ways with five players on a permanent basis, with Moussa Diaby being the latest first-teamer to leave.
It’s not expected to be long until Villa announce the departure of another player, as Jhon Duran’s future at the club is the next task for Emery to overcome.

Aston Villa want to sell Jhon Duran following unprofessional off-pitch actions
At the start of the summer, it was Chelsea who were eyeing Duran however, it now looks as though West Ham are the most likely club to sign the 20-year-old.
It’s clear that the striker does not want to be number two to Ollie Watkins at Villa Park much longer, with Villa almost certainly looking to offload him before deadline day.
The Villans have a clear asking price for Duran, who has become an enemy at Villa for his actions off the pitch this week.
The Colombia international was seen making a West Ham gesture on an Instagram live video, which understandably left Villa fans raging as he disrespected the club.
Following on from his social media actions, journalist Alan Nixon shared Villa’s stance on the striker, reinforcing that the club “want a sale”.
Providing an update on the transfer saga, Nixon said, “Usual negotiation stuff … Villa want a sale … player wants to start … West Ham trying to get as cheap as possible.”
The Hammers are believed to have made offers to Villa for the disruptive striker, who only arrived at Villa Park in January 2023.
Villa have to offload Duran as soon as possible
Duran’s actions amid the transfer speculation have been nothing short of abysmal from a Villa point of view.
Journalist and Villa expert Jacob Tanswell branded the 20-year-old as “immature” for his reference to West Ham on social media this week.
It’s a shame as the striker has the perfect club and manager to develop under at Villa however, not being in the spotlight is seemingly not enough for Duran.
For now, Monchi will be focused on getting the best price possible for the forward, whom the club need to offload promptly to move on from the disruption that the former MLS ace has caused.
