Aston Villa are still said to be interested in signing Abde Ezzalzouli from Real Betis, following having interest in him over the summer.
With just weeks remaining until the January transfer window, transfer links revolving around Aston Villa have been ramping up.
It has to be said that, it has been a great start to the season for Unai Emery and his side with them currently sat in fourth place.
Despite some poor moments such as the Newcastle and Nottingham Forest defeats, Villa have been in top form this campaign.
Over the summer, some key signings came through the door at Bodymoor Heath. The signings of Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby and Youri Tielemans have helped improve the Villans. They have proved to be some truly shrewd additions.

With that, there are some areas where squad depth could be necessary this winter. This has seen rumours arise for the January window.
Aston Villa linked to Abde Ezzalzouli again
Villa had been interested in Abde Ezzalzouli over the summer but it was reported that he ‘completely refused‘ the move.
This would have you believe that this would end any interest that the Villans hold in the Moroccan, but apparently, this isn’t the case.
This has been reported by Steve Kay of Football Transfers who has suggested that they may return to try and sign Ezzalzouli.
On the potential move, Kay said: “Sources have informed us that head coach Unai Emery is eager to secure the Moroccan international’s signature from Real Betis during the January transfer window. The ambition to reinforce his squad with a left-sided forward is a top priority at Villa Park.
“We are informed that the former La Masia wonderkid is identified as the primary target for that role.”
There have been plenty of attacking targets linked to Villa Park. From Nico Williams to Albert Gudmundsson, there have been many names suggested.
What sets Ezzalzouli apart is his ability to play in a more defensive sense when necessary. This season Matty Cash has often been used as a wide midfielder, but when needed drops back into a back five.
The Moroccan plays on the left and would provide Emery with a similar option to Cash, but on the opposite flank. This would provide more options and depth to the squad which can only be positive.
Whether or not Ezzalzouli would actually want to join the Villans is unclear given he rejected them before. He has had a tough stint with Betis and a move might be on his mind.
