Hull City have tabled a combined bid of £6 million for Keinan Davis and Jaden Philogene-Bidace.

The Tigers are holding talks with Aston Villa over a potential bid for Davis, this comes following a prior bid for Philogene-Bidace.

Davis has spent this season training with the under 21s at Bodymoor Heath, so a move will benefit all parties.

A fee for Philogene-Bidace had reportedly been agreed but reports suggest, Davis has been thrown in now.

A deal for the winger is likely to have a sell on or buy back option.

Davis has just never found his feet at Aston Villa.

Given his debut under Steve Bruce, he had a lightning quick start to his career at Villa Park.

In his debut season he was a big part of the side that lost in the play off final to Fulham.

The best stint of the strikers career came at Nottingham Forest under Steve Cooper.

Five goals in 22 appearances as Forest gained promotion to the Premier League.

Villa demanded £15 million for the permanent signing of the striker and as a result Cooper looked elsewhere.

Now it looks like Unai Emery will let him go for any price, despite his Championship pedigree.

A sad end to his time at Villa for a player everyone had high hopes for.

With him and Philogene-Bidace leaving, more academy prospects have moved away and not made their stamp on the first team.

It doesn’t always happen for these youngsters but these two seemed different to most.
