In recent years, Villa have had plenty of youngsters emerge from the academy and become vital players.

Jack Grealish is the obvious big name, but others such as Jacob Ramsey have played a big role in the club’s recent rise.

Given how good Barry has been recently, there is no reason why he cannot become a Premier League player in a couple of years.

Emery will have no doubt be watching his progress with delight and may even consider recalling him in January.
