Louie Barry has once again shown what he is capable of after the Aston Villa loanee netted another wondergoal for Stockport County’s 1-0 victory over Wrexham.

The Villa youngster has already raised plenty of eyebrows this season with his performances.

After spending time at Stockport County last season where he helped the club win promotion to League One, his stay was extended in the summer.

Since then, Barry has only impressed further and has now netted 12 goals in all competitions already.

Barry’s form even caught the attention of Jude Bellingham recently after his performance against Bolton last weekend.

Now, the winger has shown how good he is yet again after netting another wonder goal against Wrexham.

The 21-year-old is no stranger to a good goal. At the start of the campaign, Barry went viral for a sensational wondergoal against Cambridge United.

Now, in a vital match in the promotion race, Barry netted a fantastic goal to ease tensions and help send the club up to fourth.

Former Aston Villa player Lee Hendrie, who was the pundit for the match on Sky Sports, was stunned by the goal.

He said: “Louie Barry, what a finish this is. He has just been yellow-carded, there have been three yellow cards at the start of this game, that’s how frantic it is.

“Just have a look at this, it comes out, he just recycles it and whips it, bends it, there is everything on it; right in the far corner – Tom Burton had no chance of saving that.

“He just gets it perfect and that is his 12th of the season for Louie Barry.

“Just having a look at it again – what a finish, what a finish that is. He might take over Ollie Watkins’ reign when he gets back to Villa.”

The rise of Barry over the past two seasons has been remarkable. The winger had previously struggled on multiple loans but has finally found his place at Stockport.

If he can guide the club to another promotion, it will no doubt boost Barry’s prestige and add another impressive feat to his CV.

Unai Emery will likely also be keeping a close eye on his development as his name becomes more well-known.

Hopefully, the Spaniard will give Barry a chance at Villa Park next season where he could be a great squad player.
