Aston Villa president of football operations Monchi has delivered a 12-word message following the start of pre-season training.
Unai Emery welcomed his Aston Villa players back from their summer break on Monday with work to be done ahead of a Champions League campaign.
Whilst the absence of sold trio Douglas Luiz, Tim Iroegbunam and Omari Kellyman will suddenly feel much more real following the return to Bodymoor Heath, there will be a number of new faces too.
That is because the work to get the squad ready to compete on all fronts next season is well underway, with Villa signing Lewis Dobbin, Ian Maatsen, Samuel Iling-Junior, Enzo Barrenechea and Ross Barkley already this off-season.

Key to those deals is Monchi, and the club’s chief negotiator has posted an update that will get Villa fans excited for the 2024/25 campaign.

Monchi and Emery are a match made in heaven in player recruitment terms.
The pair worked together with great success at Sevilla and now Villa are reaping the rewards of the Spanish duo’s relationship.
Monchi is renowned for his business in the transfer market; his ability to spot both talent and value almost unrivalled in Europe.
Now the man behind the scenes has posted a picture at the club’s training ground that fans will love.
Monchi took to Instagram to post a picture on his story of himself in the Bodymoor Heath gym sporting the brand new Adidas training top with the rebranded Villa crest with the caption: ‘New brand. New crest. New season. The same motivation. Up the Villa!’.
Monchi’s busy summer set to continue for Aston Villa
Having spent the early part of the summer concerned regarding a potential breach of Premier League spending rules ahead of the 30th June PSR deadline, it will have already felt like a long summer for Monchi.
With the transfer window set to remain open for almost two more months, the Villa transfer guru will continue to be busy as he tries to secure deals for players who will improve Emery’s squad.
There are likely to be more outgoings too, with Jhon Duran, Leander Dendoncker and Calum Chambers just some of those likely to depart this summer too.
