Aston Villa confirmed that midfielder Morgan Rogers signed a new long-term contract on Tuesday morning, keeping him at Villa Park till 2030.
Rogers earned his new Aston Villa contract after performing brilliantly in the first few months of the season.
Jamie Redknapp was blown away by Rogers against Arsenal, labelling the 22-year-old ‘unplayable’, and that trend has followed the midfielder throughout this campaign so far.
Villa’s No.27 has scored three and assisted three in 15 appearances this term and he’s made a mockery of his £15 million price tag.
Rogers was most recently called up to Lee Carsley’s England squad for the first time, making his debut in the win over Greece, and now the players have celebrated his contract news.

Lucas Digne, Curtis Jones & others react to Morgan Rogers signing new contract
Roger’s new contract will reportedly put him in line with Villa’s highest earners, with this news coming after other long-term deals were announced.
World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emi Martinez was given a new contract till 2029 in the summer while Jhon Duran’s new deal – signed in October – expires in 2030.
Now, after sealing a new deal himself till 2030, Rogers posted a six-word message on Instagram and plenty of players have responded.
Liverpool star Curtis Jones, who made his debut alongside Rogers, wrote: “Congrats brudda.”
Meanwhile, Villa teammate Matty Cash responded: “Congrats bro 🙌🏼”.
Ian Maatsen also replied: “Let’s go 🔥,” while Lucas Digne simply commented: “🔥🔥🔥”.
Tottenham forward Brennan Johnson, who played with Rogers on loan at Lincoln City a few years ago, said: “Congrats brother.”

How Rogers can reach the next level at Aston Villa
Rogers is one of the finest young talents to emerge from the Championship in recent times and he’s now one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
The 22-year-old has a lot of positives to his game, including his outrageous ball-carrying attributes, incisive passing and incredible dribbling.
But there is one complaint that many have made of the youngster this season, and that is Rogers final ball.
Although he’s great at breaking into the opposition box at speed, his end product has often deceived him, with the Englishman missing five big chances and only converting 15% of his chances in the top-flight, as per Sofascore.
For Rogers to reach the highest level, he must become clinical in these situations as this can transform him into Villa’s talisman alongside Ollie Watkins.
