Jhon Duran has stolen the headlines on the pitch this season but one challenge he’s completed off the pitch just proves he’s a class act.
The young Colombian striker is in the form of his life for Aston Villa.
Duran’s most recent goal in the Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace was his eighth strike of the season, despite starting just three times in all competitions.
The 20-year-old has been ruthless in front of goal when he’s been given the chance and he’s also had to wait patiently on the bench most weeks, as he’s still yet to start a Premier League game over Ollie Watkins.
Having scored an incredible five goals after coming off the bench, Duran was tied down to a new long-term contract at Aston Villa, with the youngster now revealing one big purchase he’s since made.

Duran may have become one of the most recognisable young strikers on the planet but he’s remained humble and grounded despite the fame.
The Colombian is the son of a miner and in an interview with Sky Sports, Duran revealed that he already fulfilled the ‘most important challenge’ in his life after buying his mother a home.
“I think it’s the most important challenge I’ve had in my life. Thank God, I fulfilled it,” he said.
It’s sometimes hard to believe that Duran is still only 20, as his maturity on the pitch is married to his kind-heartedness and unselfish traits.
To be able to buy his mother a house at such a young age just proves that he’s a real class act and his humbleness off the pitch is further evidence that money has not changed him one bit.

It’s hard to put into words how sensational Duran has been this term but he’s risen to prominence as one of the planet’s greatest forwards.
Of course, such clinical goal-scoring hasn’t led to him starting regularly over Watkins however, it has seen his development and value skyrocket.
Despite only just entering November, Duran’s total of eight goals – one every 65 minutes – points towards him reaching some ridiculous numbers this term.
Surely he’ll be targeting at least the 20-goal mark in all competitions to truly cement his place as a great striker.
The former Chicago Fire star will also be keen to win a trophy, just like everyone at Aston Villa, and that is something Emery will believe is possible despite being knocked out of the EFL Cup.
