Former Aston Villa youngster, Jaden Philogene has opened up about his move surprise move to Hull City this summer.
It has been a great season for Aston Villa which has seen there be plenty of positive decisions be made by the club.
Under the management of Unai Emery, the squad has gone from strength to strength. They now find themselves in third place in the Premier League with a serious chance of securing Champions League football.
With that being said there have been some transfer decisions which had left Villa fans confused and somewhat disappointed. With Cameron Archer, Aaron Ramsey and Jaden Philogene all being let go, it was a summer which saw many youngsters leave.
They have all had their moments, none more so than Archer who scored against Villa for Sheffield United. Philogene has been special in the Championship and may represent a regret that he was let go.

What has Jaden Philogene said?
After a superb pre-season campaign, Villa fans had high hopes for the 21-year old moving into the Premier League. Despite this, a £5m move to Hull City was confirmed as it was clear his future lay away from Villa Park.
Since his move, Philogene has been nothing short of superb. According to FotMob, the England youth international has six goals and five assists in just 14 Championship matches. This ranks him in the top 15 players in the leagues for goals and assists.
With that being said, it is all the more confusing why he was let go by Emery this summer. In an interview with The Sun, Philogene has made his reasons clear.
On that, he said: “I needed game time. At my age, I can’t just sit on the bench. I need to keep playing and thought this was the best opportunity.
“Obviously you must be doing something well to get linked with the sort of clubs I have. But you can’t let that get to your head because that’s when the focus drops. You must keep working hard and stay in your game and everything will come from that.”
It is safe to say that this move in order to play more has worked as he has been able to show his quality on a regular basis. This has seen him wanted by a whole host of teams, including the majority of Villa fans.
Given links to youngsters like, Crysencio Summerville, there is a chance for Villa to bring an academy prospect back to prosper.
