With Aston Villa likely to have yet another sensational 2024/25 campaign, there are plenty of new records the players, manager and team could all break.
Under Unai Emery, breaking records at Villa has become the norm. In the 2023/24 campaign, the club broke numerous records in a fantastic season where they reached the Champions League.
For example, Villa Park oversaw the consecutive top-flight victories at 15 after their 1-0 win over Arsenal in 2023.
Now, Emery will no doubt be itching to break more in the new season. Therefore, Aston Villa News has listed four incredible records that might finally be broken this campaign.
All-time Aston Villa Premier League scorer

One of the most well-known Aston Villa records that is being closed in on is their all-time Premier League top goalscorer.
As it stands, Gabby Agbonlahor sits top of the list with 74 goals, however, Ollie Watkins is slowly catching up with the former legend.
The England international has netted 59 goals so far in his Villa career in the top flight.
After Watkins netted 19 Premier League goals in the 2024/25 campaign, it is not a stretch to believe that he could finally beat this record over the course of the season.
Most Aston Villa European victories in a season
Villa have finally made their return to the Champions League after over a 40-year wait.
It was only last season that the Claret and Blue side made their long-awaited return to Europe after they reached the Europa Conference League semi-finals.
However, with the change in format, Villa are set to play even more games in Europe after the group stages were abolished in favour of one big league.
In the Europa Conference League, Emery broke the club’s record for the most wins in Europe, as they achieved eight victories. However, there is no reason why they can’t better this record in the current campaign.
Villa will have to play at least eight games before the knockouts in the league phase. Following this, Emery’s side could end up in the play-off round before the round of 16. Therefore, it is very possible that they could set a new record due to the sheer number of matches available to play.

Unai Emery could become the quickest Aston Villa manager to win 50 games

One of the most impressive feats, Emery has no doubt worked wonders since he joined Villa in late 2022.
Under Steven Gerrard, it looked like the Birmingham outfit was being dragged into another relegation battle.
Yet, not only did Emery pull the side up the table, he achieved European football in back-to-back seasons.
As a result, the Spaniard’s win percentage is very impressive. At Villa, he has won 53.49% of his games thanks to his 46 victories in 86 matches.
With Emery now only four wins off 50, he could become the quickest Villa manager ever to reach this achievement.
According to Aston Villa Statto in June 2024, Emery needed six victories out of his next nine matches to beat this record.
He has since won two of his first three matches in the 2024/25 campaign meaning that just four wins are needed out of his next six games.
Most Aston Villa Premier League assists
A potential long shot. As it stands, Ashley Young holds the Villa record for most Premier League assists with 41.
Few active players are close to him, however, one player who is creeping up the table is Watkins.
According to Statbunker, the England international currently has 27 Premier League assists, putting him 14 off Young.
Yet, Watkins has proved himself to be a creative genius in recent seasons and collected the most assists in the league in the 2023/24 campaign with 13.
Given the ability of the striker, there is no reason why he can’t do one better this campaign and beat Young’s long-standing record.
