Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson is not happy with one thing Ollie Watkins did during training at Euro 2024.
England’s time at Euro 2024 must improve on Saturday evening, as the Three Lions prepare to face Switzerland in the quarter-final.
Despite reaching the final eight, it’s been a disappointing tournament so far for Gareth Southgate’s side, who scraped through the group stage and the round of 16.
For Aston Villa’s representatives, it’s been a trialling time, as Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa have played 35 minutes between them.
Watkins will be feeling frustrated at his lack of action so far however, the forward’s antics in training have now left others feeling a similar way.

Aston Villa ace Ollie Watkins left Dean Henderson feeling hurt during England training at Euro 2024
The Villa ace has made just one appearance off the bench for England so far in the tournament although, his attitude towards training can’t be questioned.
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson described Watkins as being ‘on fire’ during recent training sessions ahead of the quarter-final but, was also unhappy with the striker.
Speaking to England’s Youtube channel host Josh Denzel, Henderson called Watkins ‘heartless’ for one thing he did.
“He’s been on fire actually [Watkins], the day after the game the other day, I called him heartless, he hit a ball from four yards out after a late flight straight into my midriff that I wasn’t too happy about.”
It was a little joke between the pair that generated little sympathy from the Villa sensation, who described Henderson’s version of events as part of ‘his job’.
“He can’t complain he’s a keeper, it’s his job to save it, I’ve gotta shoot if I’m in front of goal haven’t I?”
Watkins form in training won’t come as a surprise to those at Villa
Watkins’ rise in quality since Unai Emery’s arrival hasn’t come by chance, as the way he conducts himself in training at Bodymoor Heath is exemplary.
Journalist Jacob Tanswell relayed that a staff member at Villa described the striker as being a player who works “relentlessly” to reach the levels that he has been over the past few years.

It will be hoped by everyone associated with the Villans that their talisman finally gets his chance to shine at the Euros, with him earning his right to be at the tournament over 2023/24.
Unfortunately, Watkins’ desire to achieve in training came at the expense of Henderson, who must now forgive the heartless actions of his teammate.
