Former Wolverhampton Wanderers captain, Conor Coady has come out with plenty of praise for Aston Villa following their start to the season.
It has been nothing short of a great start to the season for Aston Villa with them currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League.
With that, Unai Emery has been heavily praised for the transformation of the Villans under his tutelage in the past 12 months.
The win over Tottenham Hotspur last time out saw Villa leapfrog their opponents and into the top four. This also sees them just two points off Arsenal who currently sit on top of the Premier League pile.

Not only the form but the style of play and tactical side of the Villans have been highly praised. With Emery’s 4-4-2 and slow build-up, they have become one of the best-drilled teams in the league. This has seen a rival make an admission about Villa this season.
What has Conor Coady said?
Coady is best-known for his time as Wolves captain where he achieved Championship promotion. Nowadays both Wanderers and Villa are in the Premier League and the defender plays for Leicester City.
He has spent a lot of this season on the treatment table, such have been his injury issues since signing for the Foxes. With that, he has had the opportunity to go into the world of punditry.
With that, he has discussed Villa on the BBC Monday Night Show on 5Live where he has praised his fellow Midlanders.
When asked about Emery, Coady said: “But I think the job he’s done there, the team, the consistency that they’re producing, the coaching that’s being done on the grass, the way they believe in each other, the way of playing they’ve got, I think it’s absolutely remarkable, I really, really do.”
For the Villans to go from 17th, when the Spaniard took over, to now being in the hunt for the Champions League is remarkable. This hasn’t been lost on Coady.
The style that Emery has employed and made successful so quickly has also been a positive to take away. On that, Coady added: “I love watching them, I really enjoy watching them as a team. The game the other day, you always feel they’re in the game like they’re going to go on and win the game.”
“I think it’s hard not to look at them now and not be excited by them when they’re playing because I think the things they’re doing are absolutely remarkable and it’s full credit to the manager.”
Clearly, Coady has plenty of admiration for the Villans and for their manager which is always great to hear. It also comes from a rival which just goes to show how good Emery and Co have been.
