Aston Villa’s incredible start to the season has had a lot to do with the performances of Moussa Diaby, now he has been praised.
Moussa Diaby joined Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer in what was a club record-breaking £50 million move.
The Frenchman made an instant impact at Villa Park and alongside Ollie Watkins has created one of the league’s most dominant partnerships.
The former PSG man has three goals and three assists in his opening 15 appearances for Villa, but his all-round play is what has people raving.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Sunday People’s chief sports writer Neil Moxley shed some light on what he’s made of Diaby thus far in the Premier League.

Diaby a ‘good’ signing for Villa
Diaby has been excellent since his arrival at Villa, besides his impressive numbers he offers Villa so much and the opposition clearly sees him as a threat.
Moxley gave his review of Diaby so far as he said: “Diaby has been such a good purchase for them. He’s their club-record signing for over £50m.
“Emery worked with him at PSG and liked him a lot. He roams around that frontline, causing problems.
“As a defender, he must be a nightmare because he pops up in different pockets along the frontline.”
What is Moussa Diaby’s wage?
Being a club record signing, you’d expect Diaby to be on a fairly hefty wage at Villa. This happens to be the case with the forward currently on £130k-per-week for the Villians.
With a contract until 2028, Diaby still has over £30m remaining on his contract, given his contract which began in July is worth £33.8m over the five years.
A massive outlay, but spent well, on a player who without a doubt elevates Villa’s standing. With Champions League football on the agenda, he could yet become even more important.
