Aston Villa are set to offload Bertrand Traore, Kortney Hause and Calum Chambers as their contracts wind down, with moves potentially as early as January.

As the transfer window nears, Aston Villa will be looking to offload some players as they look to boost the quality of their squad.

Under the stewardship of Unai Emery, the Villains have been ruthless on and off the pitch. From training to transfers and contracts, a tight ship is being run.

With that being said, players on the outskirts of the squad may be let go. This will allow space for a more concentrated quality team.

Certain players have had very limited opportunities this season. As a result, may want to leave on their own account.

What is going on with Aston Villa contracts?

According to reports from The Athletic, there are several Villa players whose contracts are running down.

As it stands there seems to be just one player who runs out come the end of this campaign. That player is Traore who has featured just twice this season.

The Burkina Faso international has featured in two Europa Conference League matches, playing just 29 minutes.

With his just one of the contracts coming to an end, a move in January could be on the cards.

Kortney Hause has gone from a liked figure at Villa Park to a forgotten man in a short space of time.

He is undergoing rehabilitation for a knee injury and following a failed loan spell is seemingly out of Villa’s plans.

Chambers was superb under Steven Gerrard but hasn’t hit the same heights under Emery.

After just two appearances so far this season, it seems unlikely that he will get many more chances in the first-team.

The former Arsenal man’s contract expires at the end of next season. It is unlikely to be let go on a free transfer.

He came in with no transfer fee over a year ago. It is likely that the Villains would accept whatever they could get for the Englishman.
