Journalist, Neil Moxley has opened up about Aston Villa and their title credentials as he compares them to Leicester City.
It has been a great season so far for Aston Villa which currently sees him sitting in third place in the Premier League.
The rise of the Villans under the management of Unai Emery has been clear for all to see. This has been abundantly clear in recent weeks especially.
Following wins over Manchester City and Arsenal, Villa have seen plenty of praise come their way for their performances.

As a result of this, many pundits, journalists and former players are tipping the Midland outfit for big things this campaign. Although former manager, Dean Smith didn’t want to talk about their title chances it is hard to avoid.
With that being said, Villa have been likened to a former Premier League champion who caused the biggest shock.
What has Neil Moxley said?
With 15 wins in 15 home Premier League games, Villa are in record-breaking form right now and are gaining momentum. Picking up wins against two teams as good as City and Arsenal just goes to show how good they are.
Given the impact that the new manager has on the Villans, it comes as no surprise to see so much praise for the club right now. Neil Moxley has been discussing their title credentials with Give Me Sport since the superb recent wins.
On Emery and his squad, Moxley said: “There’s a beautiful blend about the players that Emery has put together. They’re playing with such confidence, they’ve got such belief in each other’s ability.”
Everything about the Villans right now is great. From the defensive line to the midfield conversation there is so much good to say. With the form of Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey, the forward line is also flourishing under Emery.
Opening up on their title credentials, Moxley added: “Do I think they will be title contenders? Well, who would’ve thought Leicester City would be title contenders at the start of December when they won the title in 2015/16? Not many people otherwise, we’d have all tried to pay off our mortgages with it wouldn’t we?”
It must be said that the Premier League was a different division back then and there was a lack of true quality that year. On the flip side, the quality nowadays is rife and everybody has great players to boast.
No one is 100% sure that Villa can win the league but with the form they are now showing and the quality at their disposal, why not?
