Aston Villa have issued a warning to fans attending their Champions League opener against Young Boys tonight.
It’s been 41 years since Aston Villa were in Europe’s elite competition but Unai Emery’s men are moments away from opening their campaign as they take on Young Boys.
The Villans will want to get off to the best start possible in Switzerland, who are backed by thousands of fans for their first match in the Champions League.
Emery has several decisions to make with his Villa team selection for the match, including whether to start Jhon Duran over Ollie Watkins and rest other key players.
With excitement and anticipation building for their match at the Wankdorf Stadium, Aston Villa have issued a warning to the fans attending.

Aston Villa send warning to fans over damaged seats at the Wankdorf Stadium
For their match against the Young Boys, Betano have allowed iconic sponsorship Acorns to be on the front of Aston Villa’s shirt.
The Villans are also set to play in a stadium where the pitch is artificial, with Ally McCoist issuing a warning to the Villa players ahead of the game.
That isn’t the only warning being sent, as the club’s official X page have advised supporters that a number of seats in the Wankdorf Stadium are either broken or damaged.
Considering Villa are venturing into Europe’s elite competition for the first time in over 40 years and they’re being met by a plastic pitch and hundreds of damaged seats, this isn’t ideal conditions for players and the supporters.

Aston Villa fans react to broken seats in the Wankdorf Stadium
A sea of claret and blue will converge on the away end in Switzerland and some have responded to this update on X.
Many will choose not to use the seats when watching their team away from home and will stand up instead while others would like the option.
Referencing the artificial pitch and broken seats, one supporter said: “First dip into CL the “elite” European competition and its artificial pitch and seats if you’re lucky!!! #UTV.”
“That’s ridiculous having broken seats in a prestigious club competition. They should be fined by UEFA,” another replied.
“This looks like a warzone,” a third added.
There were also a handful of responses from people who suggested that broken seats in the Wankdorf Stadium reminded them of Villa Park.
“Looks like VP. Bet they don’t have to pay £130 with the forced hospitality package though, do they,” one fan replied. “It’s just like being at home,” another simply said.
Regardless of the circumstances Emery’s side are playing in tonight, it is vital Villa get off to a winning start with tougher assignments against Bayern Munich and Juventus to come.
