Aston Villa completed an incredible achievement for the first time since 1933 after their heroics in their 3-3 draw against Liverpool.
Premier League magic once again dawned at Villa Park on Monday night as the hosts staged a late comeback.
Going into the final 10 minutes 3-1 down, substitute Jhon Duran netted twice to rescue a valuable point.
Multiple records were broken in the match against Liverpool, both good and bad. The latter saw Emi Martinez unfortunately become the first goalkeeper to score three own goals in the Premier League.
However, Villa are now closing in on achieving a sensational feat that they haven’t managed since the 1930s.
Aston Villa will average two goals a game in the Premier League

Duran’s double combined with Youri Tielemans’ first-half goal has taken Villa’s total Premier League goals this season to 76.
As a result, no matter how their final game goes against Crystal Palace, the club will now have managed to score at least two goals a game in the top flight.
According to journalist Matt Maher, this is the first time the club have achieved this since 1960. However, in the top division, this feat has not been repeated since 1933 when Villa netted 92 goals in 42 games.
Much of this is thanks to multiple sensational victories such as their 6-1 home victory over Brighton and their 5-0 away win against Sheffield United.
This is now one of many records Villa have broken this season. Earlier in the campaign, Unai Emery helped the club break its consecutive top-flight winning streak at Villa Park after the Man City victory.
Now, Villa can add yet another sensational achievement to an evergrowing list this season.
Champions League qualification now needed to round off an emphatic season

Emery’s side now have one foot in the Champions League next season. The club just needs either a victory against Crystal Palace or Spurs to drop points in one of their last two games.
While their Europa Conference League campaign will not have ended as the squad imagined, their defeat could be forgotten within the week.
Access to Europe’s most prestigious competition is what many players dream of. With few in the Villa first-team ever setting foot in the tournament, qualification is what the players deserve.
Hopefully, on Tuesday night Jack Grealish and Man City get the job done against Spurs otherwise it will be a nervy last day in the capital.
