Aston Villa club president, Chris Heck has now warned off teams from trying to sign their best players as he discusses the narrative around the club.
It has been a great season so far which has surprisingly seen them rise up the Premier League. This now sees the Villans sitting in third place.
This goes to show the excellent work that Unai Emery has done which has seen him receive plenty of praise.
Many players have been on top of their games so far this campaign from Ollie Watkins up front to Emi Martinez in goal.
There have been star names linked with moves away such as Douglas Luiz who has been heavily linked to Arsenal this month.

Although it appears that these advances have been turned down, a Villa chief has now come out regarding their transfer policy.
Chris Heck on ‘Big Six’ transfer warning
There has been some criticism in recent weeks heading in the direction of Chris Heck due to work done regarding the new badge.
Reports have suggested that the process of creating it has been done without fan intervention which isn’t allowed. This has seen some unrest around the club president and his responsibilities.
It must be said that the reports about a deal with Adidas have certainly clawed back some credibility for the American.
Now in a recent interview with The Times, Heck has opened up about his transfer policy moving forward for the Villans.
On that, he said: “Big Six wanting our players? They can try all they want but maybe we’ll try to buy one of their players. I think this idea that we’re here for the taking is dated and we need to move on from that.”
It must be said that in recent years, stars like Jack Grealish have been sold once an acceptable bid has come in. Now it seems that won’t be the case moving forward.
This has been made clear with rumours linking Luiz away from the club being kept quiet so far this transfer window.
With the Villans striding towards a Champions League push this season, they need to keep hold of their best players. This will certainly help them to get better and move forward in the coming seasons.
It is great for fans to hear some positivity from Heck following some issues in recent weeks. This is the kind of thing people want to know, it is just unclear whether it will be possible given FFP concerns.
