Aston Villa summer signing, Pau Torres has admitted that his dream is to succeed in B6 despite reports of a Real Madrid move in the future.
Pau Torres signed for Aston Villa over the summer in a deal worth £35 million, a fee that now looks like a bargain.
The centre-back was a star under Unai Emery at Villareal and was well-reported to be one of the managers’ first-choice moves.
Since his move to the Midlands, he has impressed on the whole. Following a shaky start against Newcastle United he has found his feet and become an important player.

What has Pau Torres said?
While speaking with Relevo, he was asked about his start to life at Villa Park as well as his ambitions for the future.
When asked about his dream, Torres replied: “Dream to play for Real Madrid? No, it would be a dream to get a title with Aston Villa. That would be the next dream.
“Now we are focused on that, on making Aston Villa a winning club & putting it back where it deserves.”
The Villains haven’t won a major trophy since 1999. Fans are desperate to be on the winning side of a final. Since their last trophy, there have been three final defeats.
With that in mind, Torres wants to rid that hoodoo: “I would love to be able to get a title with Aston Villa.
“As a player, it would bring me something very positive to win another title with another club. It is the job that Unai Emery wants to achieve”
Emery and Torres won the Europa League with Villareal in 2021 and they will hope to do the same in B6.
The start the Spaniard has made in the Premier League has been top-class. He will be hopeful he can continue that form.
With the club out of the Carabao Cup, the Europa Conference League poses a top chance to win some silverware.
This is both Torres’ and all Villa fans’ dream.
