Aston Villa record signing, Moussa Diaby has been discussing his start to life in the Premier League after his first Villa Park goal.

Over the summer, Aston Villa smashed their transfer record once again, previously held by Emiliano Buendia.

It was clear that Unai Emery was keen to bring in an attacker and Moussa Diaby was that man. Signing for £55 million from Bayer Leverkusen.

Since scoring on his debut against Newcastle United, he had only managed to score one more goal for the Villains.

Against Luton Town, he picked up his third goal of the season as he smashed home a volley at the Holte End.

A well deserved Villa Park goal for the Frenchman who has made quite the impression since joining.

What has Moussa Diaby said?

The Villa forward had been desperate to get back on the scoring trail and was able to do that against the Hatters.

On his previous appearances, he told the Express and Star: “You know I scored two goals before but they were both ruled offside.

“On Sunday it went in and I am very happy. I think I can do better for the next few games.”

He had been carrying a slight knock in recent weeks and was truly back to his best at the weekend.

The attacker has been part of a great start to the season and has discussed the Villains’ home from: “It’s 12 games in a row. I think Villa Park is a good stadium, with big fans and we have to continue in this way.”

As a player who has moved from a successful team that has played consistently in Europe, his standards are high.

On this, he added: “I was demanding of the players and in the structure, we are creating more and more. After those matches it is coming in a really good way.”

He has been in spectacular form for the Villains since joining and long may it continue.
